Paul Welsford is Head of Business Development, E-Mobility at ENGIE South East Asia, part of the ENGIE Group, a global reference in low-carbon energy and services. Paul oversees the development of future electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure opportunities for ENGIE South East Asia’s partnership with ComfortDelGro Engineering, and works with EV fleet partners to support the transition to sustainable mobility.

　　Paul Welsford has lived in Singapore since 2014 working in technical business development roles. In 2018 he became a founding member of the Electric Vehicle Association of Singapore (EVAS) and in 2020 made the permanent career switch to electric mobility by becoming the co-founder of EVDots Pte Ltd.

　　EVDots, a venture-build from ENGIE Factory APAC, went on to support the wider ENGIE South East Asia business to develop projects in e-mobility. This in turn led to the partnership between ComfortDelGro Engineering and ENGIE South East Asia to build EV charging infrastructure, deploy solar and build charging farms to support EV fleets. In September 2021 this partnership was awarded the majority of the first government tender for public EV charge points in Singapore. In November 2022 this was followed up with a second government tender award for HDB charging. Paul is the Head of Business Development for this partnership.

　　Paul continues to be involved with the EVAS as Vice President and has supported the YouTube channel Evolve Mobility to promote and raise awareness of e-mobility in Singapore.

　　He also holds a Batchelors of Engineering in Product Design & Manufacturing from Loughborough University in the UK.■
