  Tao has been with L’Oréal Group since 2000, holding senior positions across several Group’s subsidiaries including L’Oréal China domestic market for 10 years, L’Oréal Luxe headquarters in Paris for 7 years, before joining TR APAC from July 2016.

  Tao started her career in L’Oréal China in 2000, first in Lancôme marketing, a brief break for MBA, then back in 2005 as Brand Director to turn around Helena Rubinstein business and launched Giorgio Armani cosmetics with great success in 2008.

  In 2010, Tao moved to L’Oréal luxe brand headquarters in Paris as International Business Development Director for Lancôme, focusing on strategic markets, retail development before being promoted to Deputy General Manager for YSL worldwide in 2013 and contributed to the brand’s tremendous success and global expansion.

  Tao returned to Asia and joined Travel Retail APAC in 2016 July, where she led brand portfolio and channel development while fostering solid partnership with key retailers in the region.

  Tao was appointed Managing Director for L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific in 2020 June.

  Her deep understanding of the region, coupled with her experiences from east to west to navigate diverse markets and cultures, has been instrumental in propelling the strong vision and growth of Asia Pacific travel retail in this dynamic market.

  A Chinese national from Beijing, she speaks fluently Chinese, English and French.■

  Tao holds a MBA degree from INSEAD.
