王燕之先生在2014年底丝路基金有限责任公司成立至2022年11月期间，担任丝路基金执行董事、总经理和投资委员会主席。他全程参与了公司的构建和设立，并在其任职的8年时间里，将丝路基金从零起步，打造成为一家具有国际声誉的投资机构，建立起一支受到尊敬的高水平境外投资专业团队，投资项目遍及亚欧、美洲和非洲，并取得出色的投资回报。在加入丝路基金之前，王燕之先生曾长期在中国人民银行、国家外汇管理局等金融监管部门任职，亦曾在国际货币基金组织工作。曾任国际货币基金组织驻华代表处高级经济学家，国际货币组织中国执行董事助理，中国人民银行反洗钱局副局长，中国反洗钱监测分析中心主任，国家外汇管理局中央外汇业务外汇储备委托贷款办公室主任。

　　Biography of Mr. Wang Yanzhi

　　Former President of Silk Road Fund

　　Mr. Wang Yanzhi is one of the key persons in building the architecture of Silk Road Fund, which was established in December 2014 to implement China’s Belt and Road Initiative. He then served as the Executive Director of the Board of Directors, the Fund’s President and Chairman of its Investment Committee until November 2022. During the eight years under his leadership, the Fund grew from scratch to an internationally reputable firm with investment footprint covering Asia, Europe, Americas and Africa. The Fund has gained wide recognition for its commendable performance and more importantly, the dedication and professionalism of its investment team. Prior to joining Silk Road Fund, Mr. Wang served various important positions at the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) and the country’s State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE), as well as the International Monetary Fund, including Senior Economist at the IMF Resident Representative Office in China, Assistant to Executive Director for China of the IMF, Deputy Director-General of the PBOC Anti-Money Laundering Bureau, Director-General of the China's Anti-Money Laundering Monitoring and Analysis Center, and Director-General of the SAFE Co-Financing.
