财新传媒副主编、编辑委员会委员

  作为财新的创始成员之一,黄山一直负责财新传媒的国际新闻报道,包括财新海外记者站的日常运作。在与同仁创立财新前,黄山在《财经》杂志工作过5年,先后担任过驻香港、美国记者。2018年和2019年,黄山先后在牛津大学Blavatnik政府学院和美国圣母大学凯洛格国际问题研究所任高级访问学者。

  除了负责财新国际报道任务外,黄山受邀参加包括富有声誉的EUVP参访项目、中国-西班牙青年领袖项目、位于瑞士的旨在培养青年领导力的Stars项目。他还是中日青年领袖项目中方的发起人和组织者。同时,黄山还频繁参与各国驻华商会、使馆、基金会组织的有关国际事务、中国发展的研讨会。自2011年以来,黄山多次参与财新传媒组织的冬季达沃斯的报道,并在2015年当选大连夏季达沃斯媒体领袖。

  黄山2004年获得圣母大学硕士学位,他是圣母最高奖学金校长奖学金的获得者。在工作之外,黄山积极参与圣母大学在北京的校友会工作,是圣母大学北京校友会的创始成员之一,同时担任圣母大学北京校友会主席。他还作为评委,先后在2011年和2012年参与了圣母大学大中华奖学金项目。

  Mr. Shan Huang is Deputy Managing Editor and Editorial Board Member of Beijing-based Caixin Media, equivalent to the Economist in China. He is charged with overseeing Caixin’s foreign desk and overseas branding efforts, with 15 years of experience in reporting on Chinese domestic economic & political situations, its external relations with focus on Chinese economic diplomacy.

  Mr. Huang was a visiting fellow with the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford in the trinity term of 2018. He served as a senior research associate with the Kellogg Institute for International Studies at the University of Notre Dame for the period of August 2018 through May 2019.

  Mr. Huang holds an M.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame (UND) in the U.S. in 2004. He was recipient of Presidential Fellowship of UND, the highest honor granted by UND. He served on the UND Greater China Scholarship Selection Committee in both 2011 and 2012 and serves as President of UND Beijing Alumni Club. He is the fellow of Switzerland-based international leadership development program – acronymized as stars, Stein am Rhein Symposium – focused on developing promising young talents into responsible future leaders with cross-industry perspectives as well as high ethical and civic awareness and the key organizer of China-Japan Young Leaders Program. Mr. Huang graduated from Peking University in 2001 majoring in International Politics and received his B.A.
